Congratulations to all the owners of SKYRA borzoi at the Northern Borzoi Association Limit Show.
Here are their achievements:

A huge well done to Raiye Beresford and her family with Skyra Satine who won 1st in the Junior Handling class, 1st in the Special Beginner's Bitch class and 3rd in the Puppy Bitch class.

Congratulations to Libby Harrison with Skyra Special Secret who was placed Reserve in the Junior Bitch class and 2nd in the Special Beginners Bitch class.
Also with Skyra Szynski who was placed Reserve in the Graduate Dog class and 1st in the Special Beginners Dog class. They then went on to win the trophy for Best Special Beginner.

Finally, we won 2nd in the Mid Limit Dog class with Skyra Starstruck and then Skyra Starstruck and Skyra Sylva won 1st in the Brace class.

Congratulations to Kirsty and Iain Sanderson with Skyra Syas Steerpike for winning both Best of Breed and the Hound Group at the Deane and District Open show. Sadly they were unable to stay to compete for BIS.

At the Ladies Kennel Association Championship Show held at the NEC Skyra Sovereign Secret won the Junior Bitch class. This is her first time out in Junior - she is just 13 months old - it is only her 3rd Championship Show and 4th show in total.

A huge thank you to Richard Duckworth (Rothesby-Sholwood)for his placing of Sky and also his extremely constuctive comments about our dogs.

At the Blackburn DCS show, Skyra Syas Steerpike won his class, Skyra Szophya was placed second in her class and Skyra Synne Synattie won her class, Best of Breed, then went on to win the Hound Group and finally was awarded Reserve Best in Show!!

Happy 1st Birthday to the Secret Litter.

Following in her mother's footsteps Skyra Sovereign Secret was awarded Best Puppy in Show at the Borzoi Club Championship Show today. She also brought home the trophy for Best Puppy Bitch and Best Puppy Bred by Exhibitor.

To add to this successful day for SKYRA dogs Ryazan Hussar at Skyra was awarded Best Stud Dog/Brood Bitch; Skyra Starstruck was placed 2nd in the Limit class and the Reed Memorial Stakes; Skyra Szynski was placed 1st in the Novice Dog and 3rd in the Post Graduate classes; Skyra Special Secret was placed 2nd in the Puppy Bitch Class; Skyra Syas Steerpike was 2nd in the Junior Dog class and finally Skyra Starstruck and Ryazan Hussar at Skyra were placed 2nd in the Brace class.



A huge thank you goes out to Mr R Searle (Dogs and Best Puppy in Show) and Mr D Harrison (Bitches and Best Puppy in Show) for liking our dogs so much.

We had a lovely day today at the Northern Borzoi Association Show both with some of our own dogs and also with dogs bred by us.

Philadelphian Sabanna Azov Von Skyra won 1st Limit Dog and 1st in Special Beginners Dog.
Skyra Suri won 1st in both the Junior Dog and the Yearling Dog.
Skyra State Secret won 1st in the Puppy Dog
Skyra Sovereign Secret was placed 3rd in the Puppy Bitch class.

Congratulations to Libby Harrison and Belle (Skyra Special Secret) who at the Driffield Championship Show, was 1st in the Puppy Bitch Class and then went on to take Best Puppy Bitch in Breed. This was Belle's first time out at a show. She has now qualified for CRUFTS 2008.
A huge well done.

At the same show and at also his first Championship Show and only his second outing, Skyra State Secret won 1st in the Puppy Dog class. He is now also qualified for Crufts.

We are very pleased that all of this litter (except for Marlowe who cannot be shown due to his injury) have now qualified for Crufts (all on their first outings).

Congratulations to Caroline and Zina Saunders with Skyra Shadey Secret at Sandwash, who was placed 2nd in the Borzoi Puppy Dog Class at the Houndshow. This means he has now qualified for CRUFTS 2008 at both his outings to championship shows. Well done everyone.

At last we can see the light at the end of the tunnel with Marlowe's (Skyra Shakespeares Secret) leg injury. He has now recovered well enough to be discharged from the vets and although there is still some healing to take place, he is well on his way to recovery. He has been incredibly sweet and patient throughout his illness and we are just grateful to the vets that they managed to save his leg rather than to amputate. This has taken a lot of time, skill, care and attention from everyone at the vets and at home, but it has all been worth it.

At the South Wales Championship Show, Skyra Shadey Secret at Sandwash was 1st in the Puppy Dog Class.
This has qualified him for CRUFTS 2008. He and his handler were also awarded VHC in the Handling classes, which was the first time for them both at a championship show.

At the Wales and Border Counties Hound Show, Skyra Shadey Secret at Sandwash won Best Pup in Breed. Well done to Zina and Shadey.

At the Blackpool Championship Show, Skyra Syas Steerpike was 1st in Junior dog, Skyra Szophya was placed 1st in Junior Bitch class and Skyra Synne Synattie was placed 1st in Postgraduate Bitch class and awarded Reserve Best Bitch in breed. Congratulations to Kirsty and Iain Sanderson and their dogs. A huge well done to you all.

We had a wonderful day at the Scottish Kennel Club Championship Show today.

Skyra Sovereign Secret went out for the first time to a show and despite an attack of stage fright she gained 2nd place in the Borzoi Puppy Bitch class, qualifying her for CRUFTS 2008.

Skyra Southernstar gained 2nd place in her class, qualifying her for CRUFTS 2008.

Amuri-Pajkos Dilemma Del Skyra (Imp) was also placed 2nd in her class, meaning she has now qualified for CRUFTS 2008 at her only two outings to shows this year.

Skyra Southernstar and Amuri-Pajkos Dilemma Del Skyra then went on to be placed 3rd in the
Any Variety Hound, Terrier and Toy Breeds Brace class.

Skyra Synne Synattie won 3rd in the AV Hound Post Graduate and AV Hound Open Class.

At the Newark and Nottinghamshire Show Skyra Starstruck won 2nd in the Any Variety Open Class and Skyra State Secret won VHC in the Any Variety Minor Puppy Class - his first time out and just 6 months old. Sadly we missed the Borzoi classes.

Amuri-Pajkos Dilemma Del Skyra (Imp) made her British debut today at the Scottish Hounds Championship Show. She was placed 2nd in her class and has qualified for CRUFTS 2008!

A new arrival at SKYRA.
Our beautiful new bitch has arrived at Skyra.
She is Hungarian Junior Champion and winner of two CAC's to date.

At the Northern Borzoi Association Limited Show Skyra Szarovski won the Junior Dog Class and Best Junior in show, Skyra Starstruck was 3rd in the Graduate Dog class and Ryazan Hussar at Skyra was 1st in the Mid-Limit Dog Class. Slim and Barney then went on to win the Best Brace. Thank you to the judge Mrs Jean Malley (Ainsea).

Congratulations also to Iain and Kirsty Sanderson on their wins. Skyra Szofya won 1st in the Junior Bitch class and 2nd in the Special Beginners class whilst their Skyra Synne Synattie took 1st in Special Beginners and also took the trophy home for Best Special Beginner in show, Synne Synattie was also placed 2nd in the Novice bitch class.
